Cloud Sensor Data Archive

The data is presented in CSV format, which can be read by most spreadsheet applications including Microsoft Office and the free Open Office software. Please note that the CSV format is a universal format and does not contain any formatting such as fonts, column widths etc. Depending on your system, you may need to adjust the width of some columns when you open the files, for the data to be clearly readable.

Please do not assume data is always complete. The Cloud Sensor does not have it's own data storage, and relies on the computer software "Magic Clouds" to procide all archiving capability. There may be gaps in the data where maintenance has been performed on the sensor, or power to the computer switched off.

An explanation of the data is as follows:

  • Date Time - The date and time the readings are for.
  • Air Temp - The average air temperature over the number of readings specified.
  • Sky Temp - The average air temperature over the number of readings specified.
  • Clarity - Calculated as the difference between the air and sky temperature.
  • Light Level - The average light level over the number of readings specified.
  • Rain Sensor - The average rain sensor reading over the number of readings specified.
  • Readings - The number of readings that were taken to produce the average values.
